イラク戦争が開始されて3年。
反戦・抗議をおこなう人々がこの日曜日ソウルの街頭に集まり、アメリカ合州国主導のイラク侵略戦争に対して非難し、韓国軍のイラクからの撤退を強く要求した。アメリカ合州国やイギリス、さらに多くの国々でイラク戦争に抗議し、イラクからの外国軍隊の撤退を強く主張したと、IHTが伝えている。(“Antiwar protesters massed Sunday on the streets of Seoul to denounce the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and demand the withdrawal of Korean troops. シカゴのダウンタウンでは、7000名のデモがおこなわれ、自然災害でもあり、人災でもあったと言われるカトリーナと対照させて、「ブッシュはカテゴリー５の災害だ*1」(“Bush is Category 5 disaster”)というプラカードも見受けられたという。
