近くにStrand(1127Market St.)という映画館がある*1 *2 *3。この映画館は、日替わりで演目が変わり、なかなかいい映画をやっている。いま観ようと思っている映画は、以下の通り。

オスカー賞、ノーベル賞、エンターテイナーがいつ生まれたのかなどが書いてあるレファランスブックの"The World Almanac & Book of facts(1981)"*4を、こちらでも最近入手した。これをザーッと読んでいる。アメリカ人が当然観たような映画は、全部観ようと思ったりする。
