高校時代に、"The Road to Wigan Pier"などを読まされて、"Animal Farm"（「動物農場」）にも親しみを覚え、George Orwell に興味をもった。
今回”Nineteen Eighty-Four" George Orwell (1949) をなんとか読み終えたけど、これは読んだといえるレベルではありませんね。なにしろ語彙がむずかしい。すらすらとは到底読めない。ということで再度挑戦したい。
