本書は、どこを読んでも面白く読める。
いまパラパラと読んでいても、たとえば、Suzie-Q はdance steps のひとつらしいってなことがわかって楽しい。
*1:この欄で1位になっているJames Brownのダンスは全く知らなかった。後年ジェームズブラウンの動画を見てぶっ飛んだ。まさにジェームズブラウンの右に出る者はいない。1位は当然の評価である。
*2:この時期には、CCRや Sly and the Family Stone は知っていたが、"Fortunate Son"や"Everyday People"という唄の社会的位置づけなど知る由もなかった。Sam Cooke の "A Change Is Gonna Come"に関しても深められていなかった。
