ニュージーランドのスポーツで大切なこと

　ニュージーランドのスポーツの精神は、まず、楽しむことだ。
　さらにPlay Hardだが、Play Fairである。つまり、全力を尽くすが、フェアプレーに徹するということだ。
　以下は、インターミーディアットの生徒心得だが、この高校も同じようなものだろう。

• enjoy themselves（楽しむ）
• play within the rules（ルールを守ってプレーする）
• respect the referees and umpires（レフェリーやアンパイヤを尊重する）
• respect the opposition and their supporters（相手チームと応援団を尊重する）
• be gracious winners and dignified losers（品格のある勝利者、品位のある敗者たれ）
• play hard but fair（全力でプレーするが、フェアにプレーすること)
