On Golden Pond (1981)

・take the stern (船尾をとる)

・haul my ass out to Wyoming or Puerto Rico or...

・They call this Purgatory Cove, boy

・starboard, starboard

・I forgot you're a hot shot boat driver.

・Where do you juvenile delinquents think you're off too?

・exert yourself

・How's the angina?

Norman : I don't hear a thing.

・Ethel: ...the canoe off the porch...

・I'm qualified to...

・Didn't know they had gas back then.

・Think it's...

・My whole god-damn body is falling apart.

・Sometimes I can't even go to the bathroom when I want to.

・Let me tell you, and I can take on both of you punks.

・If I take the wrong turn, and wind up in Micigan or someplace, be sure you let me know.

・You're my knight in shining armor.

・What are you doing with a dotty old son of a bitch like me.

・I haven't the vaguest idea.

・Wouldn't it be nice if we could all get along this time?

・Well, they said they'd be here when they get here.

・What a treat!

・He'll be right in. He actually thinks you have to lock your car.

・It that it?

・I read it myself.

・All three of you.

・That leaves...

・I'm gonna send you...

・...on the diving board and he was all naked.

・Don't you remember he called me a spy and sent me to my room for the rest of the year?

・I was so bloody mad at him for yelling at you.

・But I let him float around down there for an hour or so freezing to death.

・I try to be selective about who I flash in front of, you know.

・Now that I'm out of hot air,

・I'll say. So have you.

・You can beat him

・Excellent

・We play serious Parcheezie around here. I let Norman win every week or so just to keep his spirits up.

・here's my little early bird. Are you having fun?

・And don't worry

・Got some pretty respectable fish wearing this.

・Surprised you still kept it, if it's Chelsea's.

・Uh, I might not stick around here.

・That wasn't it.

・We've got him for a whole month.

・Don't kill him

・There's a trout living in this cove that weights 10 pounds if he weighs an ounce. First saw him 3 or 4 years ago, hooked him 2 years ago, and again last year. He's a crafty old son of a bitch!

・throw her out

・It's floating,  it's on the bottom. That doesn't do any good.

・Run with it!

・The big one's in back of me.

・Get the net down underneath him.

・Bring him up.

・It's a beauty.

・What? I sent away for her. Two box tops from Quaker Oats.

・He didn't win me at all.

・I won him in a contest- he was the booby prize.

・I can light a fire

・You mustn't let Norman upset you, Billy.

・Thayer IV

・Good God!

・It's really happened, hasn't it?

・Here, you get the big net.

・That's the place we haven't looked for the...

・Might as well...

・All right?

・Doesn't this look like the ideal hiding place for a crafty old...sonofabitch?

・I got the mother!

・The poor thing

・Let it go. Let it go.

・Why everyone has to talk about everything

・take us real slow

・Full throttle

・By God!

・Please. Oh, God, Norman. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Hold on. There's a rock over here. Oh, Norman, Norman. Grab on to the rock. Grab on to the rock. Grab on.

・You're here.

・Norman and the kid are out on the lake.

・They should've been home hours ago.

・Norman is never late.

・Don't understand it.

・They'll be all right.

・out here this time of the night

・Gonna be all right.

・Giving the poor boy another chance to catch fish.

・Not any trout left in our cove.

・to last us...

・Except I think...

・No, no, he won't.

・It's only a sun fish.

・Doubting the word of a genius?

・It's a spectacle trout in this cove.

・Chased him out years ago.

・Well, it's a pretty good trout imitation.

・We caught Walter!

・It's just that ...

・He'll call you tonight.

・if Walter's lived this long, we should let him keep on living.

・A lot of...

・Don't be scared, the back-flip's one of the easiest dives of all.

・Doesn't matter if you don't do the...

・Billy can't take that fool thing on the plane.

・Know what this is?

・Show that to your new husband.

・he'll give us...

・Guess I'll be seeing you...

・Put the box down, darling.

・Is Billy going to be...

・The what?

(Ethel)"It'll be all shipshape again."

・Holy Mackinoly!

・Yes sirree!

・It's going to be a bit nippy tonight.

quibble

deviant life style

verbose

petunia

dame

dotty

the angina
