中学時代にthe Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Peter, Paul & Maryなどを聞き始め、高校時代からはBob DylanやCrosby, Stills, Nash & Youngを聞き始め、Country and Westernなども聞き始めてていた私は、Credence Clearwater Revival, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Bandなども聞いていた。
Nitty Gritty Dirt Bandといえば、このアルバムWill the Circle Be Unbroken(1972)だ。
Mother Maybelle Carter, Earl Scruggs, Doc Watson, Roy Acuff, Merle Travis, and Jimmy Martinといったカントリー歌手たちがリラックスしながら共演している。
昨日紹介したI Saw the Lightも入っている。
