「歌で知るアメリカ」東理夫・神崎浩(1978)を購入した。
本書では、アメリカ合州国各州に馴染みのある唄を紹介している。
たとえば、Glen Campbell ヴァージョンの "By the Time I Get To Phoenix" (1967) 。この唄の歌詞には馴染みがある。
こうした唄を知るには、Phoenix, Alburquerque, Oklahomaなど、アメリカ合州国の地理的常識が必要になってくるからやっかいだ。
