このブログで紹介しているように、私は、ある私立大学の附属高校の英語の教師なのだが、2004年度に1年間の海外研修の機会を大学から得て、ニュージーランドに滞在した。
次の文章は、その海外研修について、「アオテアロア・ニュージーランドと二つの公用語」と題して提出した報告書である。
昨年4月4日にこのブログにも掲載したものを大幅に加筆したものであるが、もとより学術的なものではありえない。ニュージーランドに滞在してみての印象や感想にすぎないけれど、ワイタンギ・デーの日に再度掲載することも意味があるのではないかと思い以下掲載する。

As I have mentioned previously in this blog, I am an English teacher at a high school affiliated with a private university in Tokyo. In 2004, the university granted me the opportunity to study abroad for one year, and I chose to stay and study in New Zealand.
Below is a report I originally submitted for that overseas training, titled "Aotearoa New Zealand and the Two Official Languages."
This version has been revised from the one previously posted on this blog on April 4 of last year. While it is not an academic paper, it reflects my personal impressions of my time in New Zealand. On the occasion of Waitangi Day, I thought it would be meaningful to share it again, so here it is.
