そのSoundtrackからの一曲"Slippery People"は、Talking Heads の アルバム"Speaking in Tongues"(1983年)からの一曲。
David Byrneは”Talking Heads ”The Band & Their Music by David Gans"で"Slippery People"について次のように語る。
Byrne: Having the Staple Singers do that song was great, because in an indirect way they were an inspiration for it. I'd been listening to them---and other gospel-type music---that I found real exciting and sincere. And the song was written, at least structurally, in that style.
The [12-inch] remix was pretty easy. There were riffs and things on the twenty-four-track tape that never made it to the album version. On dance mixes you can pretty much go as long as you like, as long as there's something interesting every twenty seconds or so. People listen to albums at home, whereas dance mixes are intended for clubs.

バーン：ステイプルシンガーズにこの唄をやってもらったことは良かった。間接的にだけれど彼らにこの唄のインスピレーションをもらっていたから。ステイプルシンガーズや他のゴスペル音楽は興奮するし誠実な音楽なのでこれまでずっと聞いてきたからね。それでこの唄を書いた。少なくとも構造上、ゴスペルスタイルで。
12インチのリミックスはとっても簡単だった。24トラックのテープにはリフとかいろいろと入っていてそれではアルバムバージョンにはならなかった。ダンスミックスのほうは、20秒間隔くらいで面白い音が入っている限り、好きなだけ伸ばすことができる。ダンス用のミックスはクラブ用で、一方、アルバムバージョンは家で聞いてもらうということだ。
